The View From the Rear–Getting Ready

22 05 2012

Planning is complete!  We’re almost ready for our next adventure.  Soon we will be heading out on the “Capital Togetherness Experiment”.  Ten days of cycling in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, we will start in Frankford, near Belleville, head to Ottawa, then Montreal, back through Kingston and finally back to Frankford.

Two days to decide what to pack, finish the laundry, run a bunch of errands, attend a meeting or two, and work a couple of shifts.

And the “togetherness experiment”?  We’re leaving our touring bikes in the shed and travelling by tandem, pulling a trailer.  I call it the transport truck of the cycling world.  At the end of the trip we’ll either be looking to upgrade the tandem or we’ll sell it.
