The List

5 05 2015

We leave in 9 or 10 days.  10 days to get everything together and leave for 3 months. 10 days! 3 months!

Sometimes the enormity of what we’re planning is just a little overwhelming. Not only are we going to be doing a bike ride that can only be described as strenuous,  but we’re going to be gone for 3 months!

We’re grateful to have found a couple to live in our house while we’re gone; someone will be here to cut the grass, keep the water running, look after the flower beds and keep the bird feeders full.  But, it also means we can’t just walk out the door. Some closets need to be emptied, space needs to be made and I absolutely want the bathroom clean before we go!

How do I handle it? I make a list. It keeps getting longer and longer, especially when Ken starts adding to it, but there’s a sense of satisfaction when you can cross a job off!

Update on my neck

I am happy to say that after 3 physio appointments and quite a lot of Tylenol, my neck is much better. I’m grateful for physiotherapists that say “You’re going to do what? You’re leaving when? Let’s get you fixed up!”
